BRIDGEART STUDIO

The Langley Artists’ Studio Tour is pleased to highlight Bridge Art Studio. We hope you will stop and visit this talented group and view their outstanding art pieces as you travel around the community.

bridgeart2 BridgeArt is a group of artists who belong to the Langley Association for Community Living. It began as a small group of individuals who had the desire to develop their artistic skills and to learn how to further express themselves creatively. The focus of the work is mainly in painted landscapes and abstract designs and occasionally we explore collage and sculptural aspects.

bridgeart3 The art we make is a reflection of who we are and what we think and feel. It is essential to our communication. Sometimes the thoughts and feelings we want to share cannot be conveyed verbally. Through our paintings and sculptures we find another means of expression, so that others may gain a deeper understanding of us and also so we can achieve a deeper understanding of ourselves.

bridgeart4 During the creative process we watch our ideas manifest through inspiration and skill, into something that is tangible. Seeing the results of being a “creator” reminds us that we do in fact shape our own destiny. We know that it is our perspective that determines what kind of experience we have in the world. When we create, we are positive. When we are positive we have a happier and more fulfilling experience. Which leads to a better quality of life for us and for our community.

BridgeArt as founded in 1998 by the Langley Association for Community Living, an organization dedicated to providing quality services to children with special needs, adults with developmental disabilities and their families. BridgeArt Studio provides a supportive environment for creative self expression.
